Intro to Stained Glass: Art Strips

Our art strips class is a great introduction to stained glass, a way to dip a toe into a new craft and catch the itch to do more. It’s also a great one-day activity for friends, family or even a creative date!

In this 3-hour class, you will learn basic glass cutting skills, framing in lead and soldering, as well as how to install hanging hooks.  We provide a wide variety of gorgeous glass samples for you to pick from, in all sorts of colors and textures. At the end of class, your project will be a completed 12-18” suncatcher, ready to take home and hang in a sunny window.


This is a non-intimidating class for absolute beginners, and with a 4:1 student-to-teacher ratio, you’ll get plenty of hands-on help if you get off-track. And all tools and materials are included!

Tuition: $135 (tools/materials included)

Class duration: three hours

Following basic protocols, this is a very safe activity, however due to the handling of lead, this course is not recommended for pregnant persons. This class is limited to 8 students, ages 13 and up.

COPPER FOIL stained glass FOR BEGINNERS

This course is a six-week comprehensive deep dive into copper foil or “Tiffany method” of stained glass construction. Students will pick from a variety of available patterns.

You will learn how to cut and grind glass with accuracy, as well as foiling, soldering, applying patina, and framing. At the end of this course, students will have a completed project, as well as the tools, skills and experience to continue their stained glass journey at home!

Students are required to work with their own tools and materials for this class. Everything you'll need is available for purchase at our studio in a bundle or a la carte, as needed. If you're starting from scratch, you can expect to spend around $450 on tools, glass and other materials.

Come explore the basics of fused glass with our new instructor Jenny, where you'll learn glass cutting, color combinations, and a variety of techniques beyond the basics of kiln work!

In this four-week class we will create four projects in different styles and techniques that you can take home at the end!

Stained Glass KEEPSAKES

Turn your 2D memento into an elegant stained glass keepsake!  Bring in a photo clipping, a four-leaf clover, a butterfly wing, or any trinket flat enough to put in a picture frame.  If you don’t have anything special you’d like to preserve, but you’d still like to learn the technique, we have pressed flowers available for you to choose from.

In this 4-hour class, you will learn basic glass cutting skills, grinding, foiling and soldering.  Students will choose a piece of beveled glass from a wide variety of shapes, as well as a piece of stained glass from a stunning array of options to fully customize their keepsake.

You’ll leave with a finished product you’ll be proud to hang in a window, vanity, on the wall, and maybe even pass down to future generations!

Tuition: $145 (tools/materials included)

GLAss-on-glass mosaics

What does a stained glass artist do with all their colorful scraps? Make mosaics!

In this class, you’ll pick from a stunning variety of glass scraps, then learn to cut, mount and cement your own design, and frame it to hang.

This class takes place on three consecutive Wednesday evenings from 6 - 9pm.

Tuition: $200 (tools/materials included)

3D PUMPKINS AND GOURDS

Come celebrate the fall season with us as we make some cool three-dimensional pumpkins and gourds, perfect for decorating the house or giving as a gift! In this 4-hour class, you will learn basic glass cutting skills, grinding, foiling, soldering and 3D construction.

We will have three patterns to choose from, and various glass options to pick from. All materials and tools included!

This course is a six-week comprehensive deep dive into leaded stained glass construction, the classic style most often seen in exterior windows, doors, and cathedrals.

You will learn how to safely cut and grind glass with accuracy and build your project with lead, as well as soldering, cementing and framing. At the end of this course, students will have a completed project, as well as the tools, skills and experience to continue their stained glass journey at home!

Students are required to work with their own tools and materials for this class. Everything you'll need is available for purchase at the Mojo Glassworks Studio in a bundle or a la carte, as needed. If you're starting from scratch, you can expect to spend around $400 on tools, glass and other materials.
